publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

For a peer-reviewed scientific journal, the publication of articles plays a fundamental role in building and developing a cohesive and expansive network of human knowledge. Therefore, it is essential that all publishers, editors, authors, and reviewers involved in the publication process conduct themselves in accordance with the highest ethical and professional standards. These standards aim to establish the core principles of academic integrity and combat any practices or violations that may emerge to threaten the credibility of scholarly work, as well as the reputation of the journal and the broader academic community.

At the University Forum Journal (Al-Muntada Al-Jami'ei Journal), we firmly believe that academic integrity is the primary foundation for knowledge creation and scholarly research development. Consequently, we take cases of malpractice very seriously, which may include:

Submitting previously published work, either in whole or in part, as new or original research. This may include attempting to modify the primary elements of those works—such as altering the sequence of ideas—or rephrasing them with the intent to deceive or mislead, among other practices.

 Data fabrication or falsification of research results.

 Manipulation of illustrative images, tables, and figures.

 Inclusion of guest or ghost authors who did not actively contribute to the preparation and writing of the manuscript.

 Concealment of conflicts of interest.

 Misuse of confidential information.

In the event that any of these practices are detected, we follow clear and systematic procedures. These begin with a rigorous investigation, followed by communication with all concerned parties, and conclude with taking appropriate disciplinary action, which may extend to retracting the published paper and notifying the relevant academic institutions.

Furthermore, we are dedicated to raising awareness among researchers—particularly early-career scholars—regarding the vital importance of adhering to research ethics through the workshops and instructional materials we provide. We invite all researchers to join us in this endeavor to foster a transparent academic environment, where genuine scholarly effort yields original knowledge that contributes to the advancement of society and humanity. Ultimately, the credibility of scientific research is not merely a policy we implement, but a core value we uphold and a responsibility we bear toward future generations.
