About University Forum Journal

The University Forum Journal for Human and Applied Studies (UFJHAS) is a peer-reviewed, semi-annual scientific journal published by the Faculty of Arts at Bani Walid University. The journal is dedicated to publishing original and innovative research and scientific studies across various disciplines. It is registered with the National Book House in Benghazi under No. (446-2012), with its inaugural issue published in the spring of 2012.

The journal is published twice a year and accepts submissions in three languages: Arabic, English, and French. Driven by the principle of making scientific research freely available to the public, the journal grants researchers and readers immediate, free Open Access to all its contents through its official website.

- Vision and Objectives:

The journal aspires to empower the Faculty of Arts to play a pivotal and effective role in scientific research, ensuring its quality and promoting its ethics. It also seeks to meet the requirements of distinguished publishing regarding academic staff, centers, strategies, and research methodologies to build robust partnerships with researchers within Libya as well as regional and international research institutions.

The journal focuses on publishing research that introduces new topics and ideas, and studies that adopt advanced and sophisticated methodologies—particularly multidisciplinary research where different sciences intersect and integrate. Furthermore, the journal stresses strict adherence to publishing guidelines and ethics, considering academic integrity a fundamental and non-negotiable prerequisite for publication.

- Scope and Fields of Publication:

The journal aims to publish research papers across multiple disciplines to make it easier for researchers to share their intellectual and scientific output in a single venue. Generally, there are no restrictions on the type of research that can be published, as the journal adopts a broad and flexible publishing policy that encompasses a wide spectrum of disciplines and approaches, including:

Literature reviews, methodological approaches, development of existing methodologies or innovation of new ones, practical frameworks, case studies, comparative studies, analytical studies, and applied studies.

The scope of publication also extends to include:

·       Academic translations.

·       Critical reviews and book reviews.

·       Scientific reports.

·       Abstracts of Master’s theses, Doctoral dissertations, and graduation projects.

- Academic Integrity and Communication:

·       Plagiarism Detection: The journal ensures the originality of research and detects academic violations by screening all incoming submissions using the renowned plagiarism detection software (Turnitin).

·       Research Availability: Newly published research is sent directly to authors via their personal emails upon release. New issues are also announced through the journal's website, specialized platforms, mailing lists, and social media networks.

The journal continuously strives to secure a leading position among scientific periodicals at the local, regional, and international levels, managed by an elite group of university faculty members from various disciplines.
